My past "Obsessions"
You know...the things we wish we still had!

1973 Mustang Mach 1
Happy 16th Birthday (Thanks DAD!). It would be a year and a half, and about $1,500 later, and the 351 Cleveland was much more healthy than in stock form. It was a rather cool ride to and from high school. I can still hear the lope provided by 294 degrees of duration, with over a half inch valve lift (.564 intake, and .536 exhaust to be precise). From the tricked-out Holley 600, to the Hooker Super-Comp headers, the tone was very amusing to say the least!  I kept the oil changed and the car maintained, but I drove it like I stole it.  It's another one of those "Do like I say, not what I do" type things.  No, I do not condone street racing, but theres a time and place for everything.  I lost 2 races overall, and one was due to my stupidity.  Without a doubt my favorite Mustang I have had.  The choice for all out attitude with the ass to make it respectful.  Not the best choice however for a trip to dinner.  LOL
1984 Mustang GT Turbo, 20th Anniversary edition.
In 1988, at the ripe old age of 18, I financed my first car...a 1984 Mustang GT Turbo Anniversary edition. There were approximately 2,700 of them produced, including the hatchback and the convertible- the convertible being even more rare. The car was eventually bought by my father, who drove it for about 10 years before selling it.  The 2.3 Liter was rebuilt once, and the turbocharger replaced twice, and the car had a little over 230K on the clock when he sold it.  I still miss the car, and out of four Mustangs I have owned, it was the most reliable with all the creature comforts.
1983 Mustang GT
We all mellow out, right? At 21 years of age, I had to prioritize. I got married, and soon after started looking for a Ninja 600 or 750.  I was somewhat persuaded to get something with four wheels, so I opted for this 83 GT.  The engine was built somewhat, and I put it through hell for a few months.  It was on my way to the gas station when I played a game of "You can't catch me" with a later model Mustang that was in my rear view mirror.  I smoked him, literally I guess you could say.  There was an obvious cloud of smoke from the left pipe, which turned out to be hosed rings in the #8 cylinder.  I later found the holes in the hatchback where a nitrous bottle was installed.  The 302 was totally rebuilt, and basically just broken in when I partially traded it for an old Allison dragboat and a Mercury 150 inline six outboard.
Seeing double...
This is one of only a few pictures showing my two Mustangs side by side. Shortly after, my dad took over the white GT Turbo.
1984 Honda Nighthawk 650
My first bike was a Kawasaki GPz 550, which unfortunately I have no good pictures of. This is my second bike. It was bought in 1999, with only 7,000 original miles. I had it only for about 6 months before finding out I was going to be a father myself...again, I had to prioritize. In other words, the bike had to go. In all honesty, probably a blessing in disguise.  If it could be wrecked, I could do it in style, and between dirt bikes, go-carts, three wheelers, mopeds, and street bikes, I simply needed no more practice.
1993 Probe GT

My second Probe, and the one responsible for me gaining respect for 2.5L V-6's.  A blast to drive, and great handling.  After driving it for quite some time, I got an offer I couldn't refuse.  I decided to sell it to help fund a dream that both my father and I have had for a long time; a 427 Cobra replica.  We are planning to order the kit hopefully before the end of May.

Nope...Not mine

But one like it soon will be.
